The poetry of Bullah Shah is a rejection of the false concept of the inherent superiority and nobility of any caste. Just because somebody is a "non-syed" doesn't mean they cannot redeem themselves in the eyes of God. If God doesn't discriminate against anyone. nobody should see the other in a different light. Arain is a lower caste in comparison to syed who consider themselves the descendants of Prophet, whereas Arian are chiefly associated with farming. Bulleh Shah claims that if you desire a place in heaven, you must become a servant to the Arian, indicating serve the poor and downtrodden, if you seek paradise.
